New greeting hut on its way

22 June 2009

Some of you who have visited us recently may have noticed the Boggle Builders busily building away near the Bizarre Bazaar. Well, it's going to transform into a little greeting hut for everyone to head towards once they've paid. It will be even more beneficial for those of you who book online, as you can head straight to the hut without queuing at the ticket office - what joy!

Helping our local community

18 June 2009

We Twiggles are strong believers in helping our local community. So when we heard about our local police community support officer running the marathon to help buy a defibrillator for the local 1st Responders, we thought that because the 1st Responders have been so good to us we should help towards the cost of the defibrillator as well. Here is Lucy Collyer (our local support officer), Mrs Webster (1st Responders volunteer) and all the other local businesses who have contributed, looking rather happy with a very big cheque.

And whizzing down a slide... You can only do that sort of thing in BeWILDerwood!

The Tree Doctors are here!

18 June 2009

Today we have some very special guests in the wood. The Tree Doctors are here to make sure all the trees are nice and healthy and there aren't any falling apart or feeling poorly. Without the trees us Twiggles would have nowhere to live so it's very important that they are looked after.

Birds choose an unlikely nesting spot

13 June 2009

This is perhaps a very unlikely nesting spot which makes it all the more fascinating. BeWILDerwood is full of a mixture of wildlife and colourful, enchanting characters so when a young couple of Blue Tits decided to make a BeWILDerwood cigarette box, in the car park, their home we Twiggles decided to welcome them and reserve the box just for them.
