Great Day Out

"We had a great day out Sunday with my 2.5 year old daughter. The whole experience started off well with a fantastic greeting at the entrance to the park, followed by a ride in a brilliant pink boat which Georgia thought was fantastic. I was worried that the park would not be equipped with stuff suitable for a child of her age but how wrong I was. She enjoyed the toddler wood areas and the large play areas too. Bewilderwood kept us busy for hours and Georgia has asked to go back to the park with the big slides and as I only live 10 miles away I think I will be buying a year ticket which is great value. Thanks to the man on the gate for his warm welcome and farewell plus all the other staff who were all very friendly and courteous. Great face painting artist too !!"

I think BeWILDerwood is great!

"Just thought I would write to say how great I think BeWilderwood is! I don’t have kids, I was taking my God children on an outing. Leaflets are fun and inviting The Website works really well and I love the graphics Entry was easy All the activities are well laid out and there has obviously been a lot of thought put into the different areas I thought the staff were very friendly The coffee wasn’t a rip off and was good! Safety was obviously considered but not paranoid, parents etc need to play their part in making sure kids are safe The puppet show was great (I guess bewilderwood don’t have to do puppet shows etc but its something extra that made the day special) Its not cheap to get in but if you can take picnics and the coffee isn’t a rip off then it feels like every penny you pay at the entry gate is worth it. Thanks for a good day out."

Fun filled, energetic and carefree day

"We've come back from a full day out at Bewilderwood. Our 2 and 6 yr old girls had a wonderful time. we loved the toddler zip wires with toddler seats - my 2yr old was laughing from start to finish. And the best thing - hardly any signs saying 'DO NOT .....DO NOT.....NO ......FOR SAFETY REASONS ...blah blah...the girls just played as did their grandparents and parents!!! And no bumps or bruises or grazes or cuts just good old climbing, swinging, sliding, swaying. Its safe, secure and well organised with friendly helpful staff all around. The search for the boots kept us on the look out and the quirky little houses in the trees made it all the more curious. It would have been nice to have seen some characters around the woods as this would have made it more special. Very pram friendly as tracks follow the adventure all round. Great maze that my 6yr old had to help us get out of! we took a picnic and stayed nr to 6hrs and could have stayed and done it over and over! My 2 girls were covered in dust and dirt underneath their nails but came away with heaps load of smiles and fun. thanks for a fun filled, energetic and carefree day. def come again...."

Daisy's 11th Birthday

"Dear Twiggles and Boggles, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for the superb birthday party on Sunday. My daughter and her 7 friends had the most fantastic time - at the age of 11 I had wondered if maybe she was getting a little old to have an organised party, how wrong could I be!! The set up of the park and the childrens ages enabled them to go off on their own leaving the adults and the smaller children to follow at a more leisurely pace !! When we arrived at the far end of the park the children were having a fantastic time going up and down the slippery slopes! A HUGE thank you to the catering staff for putting on such a wonderful spread - I don't think I've ever been to a party venue where the food has been so plentiful and yummy - the small details like the lighting of the candles on her cake for when she walked into the yummy yurt just made the experience even more enjoyable. Her birthday present book is also a firm favourite she's happily reading it to her little brother each night. So thank you once again from a very happy 11 year old and an equally happy mother of the 11 year old!!!"

What a place!

"Just wanted to drop you a line to say "WOW" what a fantastic day we have just spent at bewilderwood. It really is in a class of its own; innovative, exciting, curious, fun, slightly dangerous(great), imaginative and much much more. Our two boys had such a great adventure and I can't recommend the place to highly. I really think this is a concept that can be repeated elsewhere. Good luck & well done!"

Fantastic time!

"I discovered your leaflet a while ago and having been itching to come ever since. So after a stay at Haven in Caister over the Bank Holiday weekend we made our way to you on the Bank holiday Monday, which also happened to be Minty's birthday. I have to say that every thing in the leaflet was so very true and way better in real life. Bewilderwood is one of the best outdoor adventure places I have ever been to, it is just brillant. It is incredibly great value for money and we thought this of the food and the gift shop. My children had a fantastic time and there was something for all ages, and ours ranged from 4 to 65. We arrived at 11 and left at 5pm and still didn't get to the tricky tunnels, as there was just so much to do. I have not stopped raving about the place since I arrived home and have been giving out your leaflets. I have been so convincing that my friends took their children there on Saturday as something different to do. Because that is exactly what you give everyone something so wonderfully different to do. Thank you for that as me and my family had the very best of times at Bewilderwood. We will certainly be back!!"

Thank you

"We came to Bewilderwood to celebrate Sam's 5th birthday and had an amazing time! The website is excellent so we had very high expectations and you did not disappoint. The man in the funny hat at the gate was very friendly, as were all staff (the boat drivers were great!) We loved being able to clamber and scamper about with Sam all over the park. The food was wholesome and reasonably priced, and we spent the whole day, getting value for money. It was great to be able to recycle our rubbish and be surrounded by such an eco-friendly and high moraled environment. Thank you!"

Thank you soooo much for a great day out

"Dear Bewilderwooders I came to Bewilderwood for my first visit on 8 April 2010, bringing along my husband and a posse of children, and what a fantastic day we had! Well worth the journey from Bury St Edmunds. The sun shone (which always helps), but I was amazed at how relaxed everyone was - visitors and staff alike. In these times of too much adult supervision and insufficient freedom for children to explore, Bewilderwood is a real gem. What really stood out was the lack of obvious health and safety features, yet all the children played safely and happily. Site supervision was present but unobtrusive, leaving children to feel like they were assessing risks for themselves, a most valuable lesson to learn. And a special thank you to the young man who politely asked if he could take our tray for us and clear up our rubbish... I was stunned! So, all in all, a great day with, thank goodness, plenty of adult seating and excellent healthy snacks and quality tea and coffee. I'll definitely be back this summer with more children in tow."

"The best birthday party ever!"

"A belated thank you for a lovely time last w/e. Angharad had a fabulous party - "the best birthday party ever" she told me that evening. It was a lovely touch to have the birthday names welcomed near the entrance, and the Bewilderwood Bats book has already been read and enjoyed. Thank you for recommending the birthday package, and for your patience and organising with our last minute questions and additional bodies. Everyone, in particular the adults had a marvelous day."

Birthday Party at BeWILDerwood

"Just to let you know that my little boy had such fun on his 6th birthday at BeWILDerwood. We were also very lucky with the weather! We brought 8 children with us and they all had a ball. One of the boys said "this is the best party I have ever been to". Thank you to your team for such a fab time. I would also like to thank Sue in catering - she was superb and I was impressed with her vigilence about my boy's nut allergy."

Rotary KidsOut National Day

"BeWILDerwood is our preferred choice of venue as it gives a very safe, stimulating environment in lovely, natural surroundings. The children are really excited about their day out and particularly looking forward to the Maze and searching for Mildred the Crocklebog!"
