What to Expect at Halloween at BeWILDerwood: Plan Your Perfect Family Day Out

7th Oct 2026

Looking for a magical family Halloween day out that is full of adventure from morning until dusk? Halloween at BeWILDerwood is the perfect way to enjoy spooky season together. From climbing, sliding and exploring in the autumn trees to following the Glowing Light Trail as the sun begins to set, here is how to plan your perfect Halloween adventure at BeWILDerwood this October.

Let the Halloween adventures begin

Start your day with all the usual BeWILDerwood fun. Climb through the trees, whizz down slides, wobble across bridges and explore the outdoors. It is a brilliant way to make the most of a crisp autumn day, especially if your family loves fresh air, imaginative play and gentle spooky fun.

Park opens from 11am and last entry is at 3:30pm.

Get in the Halloween spirit with spooky crafts and face stencils

Head over to the Big Hat to make your own Halloween craft and get a frightfully fun face stencil. It is a great stop for children who want to get creative, take home a spooky masterpiece and fully embrace the Halloween atmosphere before heading back into the woods.

Crafts and Face stencils are open from 11am and close at 4pm

Show off your fancy dress and enjoy spooktacular shows

Halloween costumes are very welcome, so dress up in your favourite spooky outfit! Head over to our Spooooky Disco and show off your fancy dress for a chance to win a return voucher and a Minty book.

Spooooky Disco starts at 2:30pm

Go Twig or Treating in the woods

Join in the spooky fun with a BeWILDerwood twist on trick or treating. Follow the Twig or Treat trail through the woods and discover who has left twigs and who has left treats. Find the letters and complete your trail sheet to get a Halloween prize!

You can follow the Twig or Treat trail throughout the day!

Tales of Twig or Treat

Before the lights begin to glow, settle in for one final Halloween story. Tales of Twig or Treat brings the magic of BeWILDerwood to life and helps set the scene for the evening trail, making it a lovely moment to pause before the woodland transforms.

You can catch Tales of Twig or Treat at 4:30pm before the woods light up for the Glowing Light Trail.
