Birkett Wood Ltd is an exciting new catering experience opening at Brockhole National Park.
We are now looking for a highly motivated Assistant Catering Manager to help lead our enthusiastic team and realise all our foody dreams. The catering will take place in 3 phases and will include a grab & go kiosk, a sit-down café & a restaurant within the main building.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the Catering Manager in overseeing all catering operations in the park. You will be responsible for delivering a delicious and unique food offering and creating the ultimate guest experience – we want everyone to have a fabulous day and eat some scrummy food along the way too!
This hands on, proactive role requires a proven track record in high volume catering, experience in delivering first rate customer service, strong supervisory skills, a good understanding of food hygiene and the ability to support and develop our enthusiastic team.
The role would be suitable for a capable supervisor looking for their first step into management.
Person Specification
Essential
Minimum of one years’ experience in a high-volume catering environment
Proven experience of supervising teams
Knowledge of delivering excellent customer service
Familiarity with stock control
A proven ability to deliver high quality work in a pressured environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
A good understanding of food preparation and hygiene standards
Desirable
Basic level of cooking
Customer service qualifications
First Aid qualifications
Food Hygiene qualifications
Salary – £28,000 per year
