What is BeWILDerwood's definition of a 'carer'?
A person over the age of 18 who is providing help and support to an individual visiting the park who is in receipt of DLA (Disability Living Allowance), PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or is a current holder of an Access Card or a Blue Badge. Alternatively if you are under the age 18 and have been assesed as a young carer you qualify for a carer ticket when visiting with the person you care for. The term carer should not be confused with a foster carer or care assistant. We just ask to see the Access Card, Blue Badge, proof of DLA/PIP receipt or proof of young carer's assesment at the gate on the day you visit.
