BeWILDerwood Terms & Conditions of Entry
The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
BeWILDerwood/’Us’/’We’/’Our’ means the BeWILDerwood group of companies, Bure Valley Adventures Limited (company no. 05424302) and Moss Wood Limited (company no. 09985024) registered offices 7 The Close, Norwich, NR1 4DJ.
Attraction(s) means any BeWILDerwood attraction at any BeWILDerwood site.
Ticket: A valid ticket allowing the holder entry to the Attraction
BeWILDerwood strives to offer its guests a safe day out. The following terms and conditions are in place to ensure the safety of all visitors to the Attraction and you are admitted to the Attraction subject to the same and subject also to any operating rules and restrictions applicable to and displayed upon or near any individual elements within the Attraction.
If you do not comply with these terms and conditions or the operating rules additionally applicable to individual elements within the Attractions, you may be removed from the Attraction by BeWILDerwood staff or police officers, without any right to a refund. This is without prejudice to any claim that we may have against you or arising out of your actions. Whilst inside the Attraction, you must comply with any reasonable instructions given to you by our personnel. BeWILDerwood, acting reasonably, reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. By entering the Attraction, you accept that you have a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure your own safety, taking into account any personal medical conditions. All persons in and around the Attraction should behave in a safe manner at all times.
1. Tickets/Admissions
1.1 All Attractions are private property and all persons entering the Attractions must pay for admission or hold a valid ticket. Tickets/Vouchers must be obtained from the Attraction’s website or a third party authorised to sell BeWILDerwood tickets.
1.2 The sale of tickets/vouchers by anyone other than BeWILDerwood is strictly prohibited.
1.3 Only persons authorised by us are permitted to sell or offer for sale any items to visitors within the Attraction grounds.
1.4 All tickets are not for resale and will become automatically void upon any transfer for value.
1.5 Tickets purchased are only valid on the date printed on the ticket. Please check the Attraction’s opening dates calendar for opening times and dates. Tickets may not be valid for special events which may attract a separate admission fee.
1.6 Advanced day tickets (not booked in conjunction with any special offer) are transferable to another date, subject to availability. This date change request must be made at least 24 hours prior to the visit date by email to the office. You have a maximum of 12 months from the original purchase date to re-book a new visit and the visit date can only be re-booked once. If your new chosen visit date is subject to a higher price range, you will be required to pay the difference.
1.7 Tickets will only be exchanged to an alternative product or refunded if BeWILDerwood, in its absolute discretion, chooses to do so. For the avoidance of any doubt, pre-booked tickets are non-refundable.
1.8 If tickets are bought on behalf of other guests, the buyer accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of every guest and shall ensure that these terms and conditions are observed by each person in the group.
1.9 If re-entry into the Attraction is required, an appropriate day wristband must be shown before exiting the Attraction which must be shown at the time of re-entry to regain access.
1.10 Tickets and wristbands must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required by BeWILDerwood. Wristbands are required to be worn at all times to gain access to certain structures. If an appropriate wristband cannot be shown to staff, access to the structure will be refused.
1.11 No child or children under the age of 16 will be admitted to the Attraction unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over and such child or children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of an adult within the Attraction including structures at all times.
1.12 Due to limited capacity, entrance to BeWILDerwood is not guaranteed, unless dated tickets are purchased in advance.
1.13 Tickets are based on height and visitors will be measured upon arrival to deem that correct tickets are purchased based on the height of each individual. Should a ticket be purchased in advanced and the incorrect ticket for an individuals height has been purchased, an upgrade fee/refund will need to be paid prior to entry. Ticket refunds will be processed via the original payment method.
1.14 Still WILD, Carer and Pregnant tickets require additional documentation to be shown on entry to validate their tickets. Should a visitor be unable to show an accepted form of proof upon arrival (accepted forms of proof are listed under each ticket), then an upgrade fee will need to be paid prior to entry for the appropriate height ticket.
1.15 Gift Vouchers need to be redeemed in advance of visit to guarantee entry on chosen visit date.
2. Right to Refuse Entry to or Remove From the Attraction
2.1 BeWILDerwood, acting reasonably at all times, reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse admission to the Attraction, ban from entry to the Attraction, or remove from the Attraction without any right to refund any person whose presence or behaviour may affect the enjoyment and/or safety of other visitors or staff or who:
2.1.1 acts inappropriate and/or undesirable manner whilst travelling to the Attraction whether by bus, coach or other means, where such behaviour has been reported to us by a reliable independent source;
2.1.2 has been convicted of a criminal offence relating to BeWILDerwood, or civil unrest at BeWILDerwood property/attractions, uses violent, aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or insulting words or behaviour or in any way behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace towards other visitors or staff;
2.1.3 climbs or stands upon fences, barriers, walls, safety fences, exhibits or any other buildings at the Attraction, enters or attempts to enter any part of the Attraction which is a restricted or prohibited area as determined by BeWILDerwood including workshops or staff rest areas;
2.1.4 has displayed any sign or visible representation of any kind which is, or could be reasonably judged to be, threatening, abusive or insulting;
2.1.5 has previously acted in any manner which has caused any Attraction or person to report that individual to BeWILDerwood;
2.1.6 is attempting to gain admission to the Attraction without a valid Ticket, or has been found inside the Attraction without a valid Ticket;
2.1.7 has acted in an unsafe manner within the Attraction including failure to adhere to staff instructions;
2.1.8 We do not allow groups of adults without children into BeWILDerwood unless as pre-booked corporate events.
2.2 If any guest is in breach of any of these Entry Conditions is a member of a group, then such group of individuals may also, at BeWILDerwood’s discretion, be denied entry or escorted from the Attraction without any right to a refund.
2.3 BeWILDerwood reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings or prosecute any person found damaging or defacing any part of the grounds, fences, barriers, exhibits or buildings at the Attraction.
2.4 At BeWILDerwood’s discretion, future access to the Attraction may be denied to any visitor who has previously been denied entry or escorted from the Attraction.
3. General
3.1 For health and safety reasons, mobility scooters are the only transport device permitted within the Attraction. For the avoidance of doubt, bicycles, hoverboards, roller-blades, skateboards, scooters or similar devices are not permitted within the Attraction.
4. Our Commitment to Provide a Service
4.1 BeWILDerwood will endeavour to ensure that as many structures and attractions as possible are available for use by visitors at the Attraction. However, we reserve the right, without prior notice, to close and change the programme of structures and attractions and/or the Attraction’s operating hours. BeWILDerwood in its absolute discretion reserves the right to close the whole or any part of the Attraction at any time or to restrict the number of persons having access to the Attraction. The reason for closure or restriction provided by this condition may include maintenance or operational reasons, capacity, inclement weather, special events or to ensure the safety and security of guests or if BeWILDerwood reasonably considers the circumstances so require.
4.2 Entry into BeWILDerwood may be restricted due to matters outside of our control, such as adverse weather. Although we do take reasonable precautions, unforeseen emergencies can be unavoidable and so last-minute Attraction closures may occur. In this instance, anyone with advanced tickets will be notified as soon as reasonably possible via the email address provided upon booking and announcements via our main social media channels.
5. Operation Rules/Restrictions
5.1 All visitors make use of the facilities at Bewilderwood parks at their own risk and are required to make sensible decisions about their own capabilities and the capabilities of any children under their care. Visitors should take into account physical, cognitive and emotional limits and engage with play equipment with this in mind. If you are you are unsure how to safely use a piece of equipment, please ask a member of staff and follow their instructions.
5.2 Children must not be carried in arms, buggies, slings or other carriers on any structures or play equipment.
5.3 Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
5.4 Visitors must obey all safety signage and instructions from park staff at all times, this includes instructions given regarding restrictions on height and weight for some structures. Any person found not to be following the guidelines or compromising their own safety or the safety of others will be asked to leave the Attraction.
5.5 Height restrictions are in place for your safety. Our staff do not have the authority to over-ride them and height restrictions will not be altered under any circumstances.
5.6 Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to travel on the boats unless accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older.
6. Alcohol
6.1 Alcohol is not permitted within the Attraction and we reserve the right to confiscate any alcohol brought onto our premises.
6.2 Persons deemed to be under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to use structures and attractions and will be asked to leave the Attraction.
7. Smoking
7.1 BeWILDerwood is a non-smoking environment. Visitors are only permitted to smoke in the car park, disposing of cigarettes into the cigarette bins provided.
7.2 Use of e-cigarettes is permitted within the park but must be used in a discrete way so as not to impact other visitors.
8. Your Responsibilities
8.1 Your dress and appearance must be suitable for a family attraction. You must wear appropriate clothing including a top and closed toe shoes at all times whilst at the Attraction. If you are wearing clothing that is indecent or likely to cause offence in any way, you will be refused entry or removed from the Attraction.
8.2 Please ensure that you read and comply with all safety signs displayed within the Attraction.
8.3 Children under the age of 16 years must be supervised by a competent adult at all times.
8.4 Threatening behaviour, verbal abuse or violence will not be tolerated at the Attraction. Persons exhibiting as such will be asked to leave the Attraction.
8.5 For health and safety reasons, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and prams/pushchairs are the only transport device permitted within the Attraction.
9. Animals
9.1 Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited in the Attraction, except for assistance dogs. Assistance dogs must follow the Equality and Human Rights commission’s definition of an assistance dog;
9.1.1 Will not wander freely around the premises;
9.1.2 Will sit or lie quietly on the floor next to their owner;
9.1.3 Are unlikely to foul in a public place.
9.1.4 Assistance dogs whilst permitted within the ground of the Attraction and on ground play elements within the Attraction, are not permitted on larger play structures which incorporate nets and balance elements. Assistance dogs are permitted to the top of our slides and zip lines but cannot be left unaccompanied and are not permitted on the slides or zip lines themselves.
9.2 For the avoidance of doubt, no animals should be left in any vehicle parked at the Attraction. We reserve the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to any animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress.
10. Our Liability
10.1 BeWILDerwood accepts no responsibility for any loss and/or damage suffered by you as a result of any event outside our control (including any distress, inconvenience, anxiety or loss of enjoyment arising from the evacuation of the Attraction). This does not affect your statutory rights.
10.2 Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. We take no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park and no guarantee is given as to the security of visitors vehicles in the car park or any contents. Touring caravans and towed caravans or any other vehicle of a similar nature are not permitted anywhere within the car park or Attraction site. No vehicles are permitted to remain in the Attraction outside the Attraction’s operating hours.
11. Security
11.1 To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being brought into the Attraction, you are admitted to the Attraction subject to the condition that, if requested to do so, you will allow yourself and/or your belongings to be searched.
11.2 It is prohibited to bring into the Attraction any weapons, fireworks, sparklers, smoke bombs, glass bottles or other articles which may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or affect the enjoyment of other guests is strictly prohibited. Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed to be offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from the Attraction without any right to a refund and we reserve the right to make reports to the relevant authorities which may lead to prosecution.
11.3 The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and any persons found possessing, using or who appear to be under the influence of illegal substances will be refused admission or escorted from the Attraction without any right to a refund.
11.4 CCTV cameras are used to assist in the proper running of the Attraction. However, we do not make any representation as to the extent of coverage provided by the cameras. All items, belongings and other property brought into the Attraction by you are at your own risk and we accept no liability for any loss or damage to such property. As such, we recommend that you do not bring valuables to the Attraction.
12. Special Event Tickets
12.1 All Attractions are private property and all persons entering the Attractions must pay for admission or hold a valid ticket. Tickets/Vouchers must be obtained from the Attraction’s website or a third party authorised to sell BeWILDerwood tickets.
12.2 The sale of tickets/vouchers by anyone other than BeWILDerwood is strictly prohibited.
12.3 Only persons authorised by us are permitted to sell or offer for sale any items to visitors within the Attraction grounds.
12.4 All tickets are not for resale and will become automatically void upon any transfer for value.
12.5 Additional tickets must be purchased in advance for special events to guarantee entry. Day tickets are not valid for these events and incur an additional entry fee.
12.6 Tickets purchased are only valid on the date and time printed on the ticket.
12.7 Special event tickets are non-refundable
12.8 BeWILDerwood cannot guarantee entry to the event if you arrive outside of your pre-booked timeslot.
12.9 Last entry into the event will be 30 minutes after the last advertised timeslot and entry will be refused if arrival is after this time.
12.10 Advanced day tickets (not booked in conjunction with any special offer) are transferable to another date, subject to availability. 13. Gift Vouchers
13.1 Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be extended.
13.2 Voucher holders should ensure that they check the Attractions opening dates upon receiving a gift voucher and redeem their voucher prior to the expiration date due to us being a seasonal attraction.
13.3 Gift vouchers are site specific so care should be taken when purchasing a gift voucher to ensure it’s purchased for the appropriate park.
13.4 Gift vouchers are for a specific product (day visit, membership and ticket type). Care should be taken when purchasing a gift voucher to ensure that the correct product is purchased for the recipient.
13.4.1 Day Pass Gift Vouchers are redeemable against Day Pass Tickets and allow entry for one person per day.
13.4.2 Membership Gift Vouchers are redeemable against Memberships and allow entry for one person for one year from the date of redemption.
13.5 Incorrectly purchased Gift Vouchers that have been redeemed may incur an upgrade fee upon arrival once visitors have been measured by staff prior to entry.
13.6 Gift vouchers are non-refundable.
13.7 Gift vouchers given as prizes must be redeemed by the expiry date stated on the voucher.
13.8 Large Group Rate Gift Vouchers (for company reward schemes etc.) can be purchased at a discounted rate (standard group rate) when purchasing 100 or more Gift Vouchers.
13.8.1 These can be purchased via the office and will be sent in the form of e-voucher codes.
13.8.2 The Gift Vouchers need to be redeemed in advance of visit via our website.
13.8.3 It is the buyers responsibility to distribute these amongst employees and pass on expiry dates and how to book.
13.8.4 Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
14. Memberships
14.1 Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or redemption online if using a Gift Voucher.
14.2 Memberships can be used for admission into BeWILDerwood Cheshire and BeWILDerwood Norfolk, throughout the open season as indicated by our opening dates and times found on our website and Grubbles’ Greeting Gates.
14.3 Admission with a Membership is not always guaranteed due to limited capacity, forced park closure, seasonal closure or private hire.
14.4 Memberships are only to be used for admission by the named and photographed pass holder. Exceptions will be made for registered foster parents, who are able to purchase a transferable membership for their foster children. Foster parents will need to provide evidence of their status before purchasing a membership. Staff will check membership cards and photographs on entry to the park. Any misuse of the Membership will deem it as cancelled without compensation. For the avoidance of doubt, pass sharing is a breach of these Terms and any attempted use of a Membership by someone other than the photographed and named holder, regardless of the reason, will result in access being refused and the Membership being revoked without compensation.
14.5 We reserve the right to ask Membership holders to leave the park at any time including if in breach of any entry terms and conditions laid out in this document.
14.6 Any added benefits offered with a Membership are at our discretion. BeWILDerwood reserve the right to vary any benefits without prior notice.
14.7 Memberships excludes access to paid special events. A discount is given to paid special events, however tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee entry.
14.8 Any promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with Membership discount.
14.9 Should a Membership holder require Carer to accompany them to BeWILDerwood, upon showing proof of Carer using one of the accepted documents (listed on our website) when the Membership is issued, a complimentary Carer will be added to the Membership Card. Misuse of the Carer ticket on the Membership will result in both the Carer ticket and the Membership being revoked without compensation.
14.10 Memberships remain the property of BeWILDerwood, are not for re-sale, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
14.11 BeWILDerwood, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to vary the opening and closing dates of the Attraction and to close, remove or cancel all or any part of the structures, attractions, events or facilities within the Attraction for any reason including, but not being limited to technical, health and safety and/or operational reasons or due to special events or private functions. For the avoidance of doubt, the full value or any part of the value of the Membership will not be refunded nor will any compensation be payable if any of the structures or attractions are removed or closed during the year.
14.12 In line with relevant legislation, from time to time we may analyse your data. This will remain confidential to BeWILDerwood and is used to monitor our performance and feedback. Marketing preferences are opted into at the time of purchase. They can be changed at any time by contacting the respective BeWILDerwood office.
14.13 Last admission into the park is 4pm (3:30pm in October). We reserve the right to refuse entry into the park even with a Membership after this time.
14.14 When you buy or renew a Membership you will receive a “Bring a Friend” voucher that will be valid for one year. These vouchers are valid for one visit only and full terms and conditions are printed on the voucher. Physical vouchers must be presented at the Grubbles Greeting Gates on the chosen day of visit to redeem the promotion. Lost or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced.
15. School Visits
15.1 School tickets will be offered to Primary Schools, Boarding Schools, SEN, Preschool, Nurseries, and Home Educators.
15.2 Home Educators must be part of a recognized group and be more than 15 paying visitors to receive the school rate.
15.3 School Groups of more than 15 paying visitors receive a school rate during Norfolk and Cheshire West County Council term time. These visits must be booked and paid for at least 10 days in advance of the visit via the office by submitting a booking form via email. Failure to issue payment at least 10 days in advance will deem your booking cancelled.
15.4 School tickets are only to be used as part of a school trip and cannot be used at any other time.
15.5 Free teacher tickets can only be used as part of the school trip they were originally booked for and are not for personal use.
15.6 School tickets are non-refundable.
15.7 Teacher risk assessment tickets can only be used prior to the school visit and must be booked in advance via the office.
15.8 High school visits are not permitted to the Attraction.
16. Group Visits
16.1 Group Visits including holiday play schemes, Scout, Guiding, charities and children’s clubs with over 15 paying visitors are applicable for our group rate.
16.2 Group Visits must be booked and paid for at least 10 days in advance of the visit via the office by submitting a booking form via email. Failure to issue payment at least 10 days in advance will deem your booking cancelled.
16.3 Group tickets are only to be used as part of a group visit and cannot be used at any other time.
16.4 Group tickets are non-refundable.
17. Extreme Weather Policy
The Extreme Weather Policy is provided at BeWILDerwood’s discretion with the following terms and conditions:
17.1 The Extreme Weather Policy only applies to Day Visits during our main season
17.2 Only applies to tickets bought online at least 24 hours in advance of your visit date.
17.3 Proof of purchase must be done in writing to the office.
17.4 Slides must be closed for a continuous period of at least 120 minutes or longer during a period of rainfall during the parks operational hours
17.5 The Extreme Weather return visit must be used within 9 months of the original visit date
17.6 Return visits must be booked in advance
17.7 BeWILDerwood’s decision is final
17.8 BeWILDerwood may change the offer at any point
17.9 Terms and conditions of the Park, remain the same for the return visit
17.10 Extreme Weather Policy isn’t valid on your return visit
Visitor behaviour
By entering the park all visitors agree to abide by our visitor behaviour guidelines and understand that any breach of these guidelines will be grounds for removal from the park without a refund.
Visitor guidelines
Any abuse of any kind towards our staff will not be tolerated, this includes swearing, spitting and physical assault.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the parks.
Animals are not permitted in the parks, unless they are assistance dogs.
Animals must not be left in a car.
Visitors are responsible for their own safety at all times and must not leave their children unattended.
No weapons of any kind, including pocket or “pen” knives will be allowed within the parks.
Visitors must follow all safety instructions given by staff members.
Visitors must not engage in any illegal behaviour.
We are unable to admit touring caravans and towed caravans in our car park or anywhere on our site.
